OpenAI has entered a multi-year collaboration with Broadcom to deploy 10 gigawatts of custom-designed AI accelerators. The partnership aims to enhance global AI infrastructure, with deployment starting in late 2026 and concluding by 2029. Broadcom's accelerators and Ethernet solutions will be integrated into systems co-developed by both companies.

Sam Altman, OpenAI's CEO, underscored the strategic importance of the alliance. "Partnering with Broadcom is a critical step in building the infrastructure needed to unlock AI’s potential," he said. The systems will leverage insights from OpenAI's frontier models, targeting unprecedented levels of AI capability.
